Born and raised in Champagne, France, Jean-Remi Barbier combines a deep-rooted heritage with modern expertise in the wine industry. He holds a Champagne Master-Level certification from the Wine Scholar Guild and a Bachelor in Business Administration from HEC Montréal.
After hands-on experience in both vineyards and cellars, he has spent the past decade in New York, developing brands and markets, serving in key roles at Vranken-Pommery and Maisons Marques & Domaines, and working closely with distributor sales teams and key accounts.
As Business Development Manager for Roederer Collection Imports, Jean-Remi plays a key role in shaping on- and off-premise strategy, supporting MMD and distributor sales teams, while driving high-impact events, and elevating brand visibility in top markets.
He is also an instructor at the Sommelier Society of America, and frequently contributes to educational tastings and Champagne-focused events. Outside of wine, he is well-versed in contemporary art and enjoys boxing, tennis, and cooking—always with a glass of Champagne in hand.
