Candice Bernard, Winemaker

Candice is the niece of Florence and Daniel Cathiard. She grew up in France, where she was fortunate to witness the growth of Château Smith Haut Lafitte in Bordeaux from a young age. Watching her aunt and uncle's passion for winemaking left a lasting impression and sparked her own appreciation for the world of wine.Her path led her from France to Spain, and eventually to Florida, where she built a career in hospitality with Marriott hotels. When the opportunity arose to join her family's new venture in Napa Valley with the launch of Cathiard Vineyard, Candice embraced it fully. Today, she leads hospitality operations at Cathiard, overseeing direct-to-consumer sales and building meaningful relationships with clients and private collectors.
