Kinou Cazes Hachemian, Winemaker
Kinou Cazes Hachemian is a fifth-generation member of the Cazes family, which traces its roots to the Ariège region before settling in Pauillac in the late 19th century. Born into a family with a deep connection to the Médoc, she is the daughter of Jean-Michel Cazes, who returned to Pauillac in the early 1970s after pursuing studies and a career in engineering in Paris, accompanied by his wife, and their children.
After completing her business studies in Paris, Kinou launched her career in New York in advertising with D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles. She later joined AXA in France, serving as Investor Relations Manager before transferring to AXA Equitable in New York, where she worked in the Advertising and International Communications department.
Kinou's enduring passion for wine and gastronomy has shaped much of her career and personal life. Now residing near New York City with her husband and daughters, she curates unique wine- and food-related objects for Bages' Bazaar, a boutique located in the Village de Bages, which showcases the finest international culinary treasures.
A true connoisseur of the Médoc's wines and the region's lifestyle, Kinou compiled a book celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Cazes family at Château Lynch-Bages, documenting both the history of the estate and the family's culinary heritage. In 2017, following the acquisition of Château Haut-Batailley, the Cazes family embarked on a major renovation of Château Lynch-Bages, which was completed in 2020.
Today, Kinou is responsible for representing Château Lynch-Bages and the Cazes family estates across North America, continuing to build on her family's legacy and passion for exceptional wines and the art of living.
