Kate Green, Winemaker
Kate Green along with her husband, Jeremy, are dedicated vintners whose vision and stewardship help guide the next chapter of Grace Family Vineyards. They first moved to St. Helena with their family in the early 2000s where they were inspired by the land and Napa Valley's deep winemaking traditions.
In 2016, Kate and her family purchased the historic Van Asperen property and undertook an ambitious replanting of its historic vineyard. This decision proved pivotal, bringing her into collaboration with Grace Family Vineyards winemaker, Helen Keplinger. Through this partnership, the Greens met Dick and Ann Grace, discovering a shared philosophy centered on craftsmanship, integrity, and philanthropy. This alignment of values ultimately led the Graces to entrust their legacy winery to the Green family.
Today, Kate oversees the operations of Grace Family Vineyards, which now crafts wine from two estate properties in the St. Helena AVA, the Grace Estate Vineyard and Cornelius Grove Vineyard. Under her family's stewardship and the continued work of the winemaking and viticulture team, the winery remains defined by its exacting standards, limited production approach, and unwavering commitment to quality.
