June Rodil MS, Sommelier
Restaurateur, Master Sommelier, and sometimes winemaker, June's hospitality journey ranges 20+ years and has opened more than 20 concepts with leaders and trendsetters in the industry. Born in the Philippines and raised in Texas, she is the CEO & Partner of Houston-based Goodnight Hospitality, a multi-concept, high-end, restaurant group ranging from a boutique, neighborhood driven wine shoppe to 1 star MICHELIN awarded, fine-dining restaurant, MARCH. A leader in the wine community, her accolades include Wine Enthusiast's Sommelier of the Year 2018; Wine Enthusiast 40 Under 40 2016; Food & Wine magazine's Sommelier of the Year 2014 (and is the only person to have received both the Restaurant of the Year & Sommelier of the Year award), and one of only 24 women in the Americas to earn the Master Sommelier credential. An avid sparkling wine drinker and determined to find cause for celebration in daily life, she launched her own wine, the popular and thirst quenching, June's Brut Rosé in 2017. Always looking to champion diversity and inclusion especially in the hospitality industry she is the VP of Southern Smoke Foundation, on the Diversity Committee of the Court of Master Sommeliers, and a member of World Central Kitchen Chef Corps. In her spare time, she loves crossword puzzles, obsessing over her dog, admiring art, avoiding regular exercise, and laughing heartily with loved ones.
