Tiana Gee, a.k.a. Chef Tee, is a Filipina and Black Los Angeles native. Gee started cooking at the age of 10 with her mother and lola and enrolled in her first cooking class by the age of 12. Upon her graduation from high school, Gee was awarded a culinary school scholarship through C-CAP (Careers Through the Culinary Arts Program). At 17, she took on her first restaurant job at Redbird in DTLA as a prep and line cook, followed by stints at Rebuplique, Hearth and Hound, and Tartine, before moving to New York to take on the role of sous chef at Bon Appétitcontributing editor Marcus Samuelsson's Harlem flagship Red Rooster.

Gee is the star of the YouTube channel Cookin' With Tee and has been featured on Food Network's Chopped: Next Gen. Her latest project is a pop-up dinner series SoulPhil, an ode to her heritage that gives diners a taste of who she really is. cheftianagee.com
