Recognized as one of the country's top pastry chefs, Chef Zac Young is known for his playful takes on classic American desserts, including the all-in-one Thanksgiving sweet sensation, The PieCaken.

After graduating culinary school and studying under master chocolatiers in France, Zac began his career at Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery. He spent four years as Pastry Chef at Chef Alex Gurnaschelli's Butter Restaurant, developed the critically praised dessert and donut program at Flex Mussels Restaurants, and served as Corporate Pastry Chef for Chef David Burke and Craveable Hospitality Group creating and overseeing dozens of restaurant, hotel, bar, and stadium concepts.

His recent ventures include PieCaken Bakeshop, a game changer in direct-to-consumer sweets, and Zac Young's Sprinkletown, which focuses on retail, wholesale and foodservice treats as well as Sprinkletown Donuts & Ice Cream at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Zac is best known for his wit and pastry wisdom as a longtime judge on Food Network shows including Halloween Baking Championship, Beat Bobby Flay, Chopped, and Worst Cooks in America, as well as Unique Sweets (Cooking Channel), Top Chef: Just Desserts (Bravo), Nailed It (Netflix), and Cake Toppers (Hulu).

When he's not in the kitchen, Zac can be found in the garden, hanging wallpaper, or wielding power tools.
