Chef and restaurateur Marc Murphy, son of a globetrotting diplomat, launched his culinary career in world-class kitchens across Paris and Monte Carlo. Now, with over three decades of experience, he is one of New York's most celebrated chefs and a prominent Food Network personality, serving as a judge on Chopped and Chopped Junior, with appearances on Guy's Grocery Games, The Today Show, and more. Murphy's contributions extend far beyond the kitchen. A former President of the Manhattan chapter of the New York State Restaurant Association, he is a Food Council and Board Member of City Harvest, advocating against food insecurity, and sits on the Leadership Council for Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign. As an Ambassador for Braintrust, he supports education access for children with learning disabilities. In 2012, Murphy joined the U.S. Department of State's Diplomatic Culinary Partnership, traveling to countries like Italy, China, and Turkey to promote American cuisine and culture. He now serves as Chef Advisor for The Culinary Diplomacy Project, continuing his global culinary advocacy in destinations such as Jordan and Belgium. In 2022, he worked with Chef José Andrés' World Central Kitchen in Poland, cooking for thousands of Ukrainian refugees. Murphy is the author of Season with Authority: Confident Home Cooking and host of the Food 360 with Marc Murphy podcast. He lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
